A time out for you each week, to take great care of yourself in this warm, inviting cocoon of a Yoga class.
These classes focus on putting yourself first, a stepping out of the busy hamster wheel of life and settling in to a softly lit room, with a gentle music and a comforting, experienced Teacher who is on hand to support you.
At these slow to mid-tempo flow classes, we focus on relaxation. Each week you'll practice a gentle paced flowing style of yoga. You'll have time to figure out how to tweak poses to suit your body and learns movements and poses to help you alleviate stiffness and aches in your body, techniques to help soothe an overactive mind and tools for self-care and relaxation. In each class your Teacher will introduce you to a new self-care practice to try out for yourself.
Your class is structured with 45 - 50 mins of yoga and 10-15 mins of a self-care practice either interwoven throughout class or for the final part of the practice depending on the focus.
Self-Care Focus:
- Class 1: Deep breathing techniques for relaxation and reducing anxiety
- Class 2: Intention Setting
- Class 3: Using essential oils during your practice and for relaxation
- Class 4: Yoga Nidra: a deeply relaxing Guided Meditation
- Class 5: Yin & Restorative Yoga (this week the full class is dedicated to slower, longer hold poses for deep stretching and release) with a guided meditation for self compassion
- Class 6: Guided Reflective Journaling
- Class 7: Community Circle - to bring our 7 weeks to a close, we will gather together at the end of class to enjoy a cup of herbal tea and a homemade treat together - a no pressure, enjoyable way to meet other yogis :)
